A note from the founder
I’ve spent my career leading technology teams, but I’ve been two things far longer: a maths enthusiast, and a programmer who can’t leave a problem alone. The problem I couldn’t leave alone was at my own dinner table — like every parent in Singapore, I was always hunting for a better way to teach my kids. What I wanted, I couldn’t buy: practice that never runs out and never lies. Assessment books end. Answer keys have typos. Drilling last year’s questions teaches last year’s paper. So I built Numi to generate every question fresh and prove every answer by machine before a child ever sees it — and to show the working, because the working is where the learning is. Which levels and topics does Numi cover?
Primary 1 to Primary 6 of the Singapore MOE Mathematics syllabus — numbers and operations, fractions, decimals, percentage, ratio, speed, measurement, geometry, data and algebra — plus PSLE-format practice papers and primary Olympiad practice.
Is Numi aligned with the MOE syllabus?
Numi’s lessons and generated papers follow the MOE Primary Mathematics syllabus, and PSLE-format papers follow the revised 2026 structure in SEAB syllabus 0008. Numi is an independent product and is not affiliated with MOE or SEAB.
Where do Numi’s questions come from?
Numi writes its own questions. Every paper is generated fresh by our maths engine, and two independent checkers must agree on each question and its solution before a child sees it. Nothing is copied from past papers or other publishers.
Does Numi work on tablets and phones?
Yes. Numi runs in the web browser on computers, tablets and phones, and can be added to the home screen like an app — there is nothing to install from an app store.
